Empowered by the Holy Spirit
Before he ascended into heaven Jesus said: But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth (Acts 1:8). The Holy Spirit is your divine helper, counselor, advocate, intercessor, strengthener and standby. He will take the things of Jesus and reveal them unto you for He is the spirit of Truth sent to lead you into all truth. Acknowledge the Holy Spirit in everything you do; He will help you pray when you don’t know how, and He will show you things to come.
PRAYER:
Father God as a member of Your royal race, I have been made a king and a priest unto You. I am Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do the works You have prepared for me to accomplish. Because I was born for such a time as this, I will make a difference in this generation and influence future generations. You bestowed upon me Your creativity and ingenuity, and they are expanded through the power of the Holy Spirit, which You sent to be my Helper and my Strength. Amen

Dear Word Ministries:
Just to say that I find what I need from the "Prayers That Avail Much" book.
I have a hard time knowing how to pray and what to say in regards to some of my struggles with myself mostly. There are prayers in the book for every situation and scriptures to back them up which give me power when I'm at my weakest point. This gives me hope from learning of God's love and perfect will for my life for which I'm thankful. The book is a perfect companion to my NAS bible which is my favorite. May God continue to use the prayer book to help others draw closer to the Lord and to find healing.
Notes From My Personal Journal
Do you take time to hear from God and keep a journal? It is always interesting to read back over the years of writing - to reflect on the journey. Your journal is private so you don't have to be concerned with sentence structure, just allow the words to flow. You write from your inner most being or your right brain, as some would say. Sometimes I write about painful experiences, about the agony of letting go of an adult child who has wandered off into a strange land, about times that I felt betrayed by those with whom I worshipped or about disappointments. Other times I write about victories, about counseling experiences, about my children and grandchildren's achievements and awards, about our son's deliverance from his 28 years of addictions, about friends of many years who have remained faithful....
