Forgiving Others

Clothed in Your armor, Father, I forgive anyone who has caused me distress, grief, embarrassment and/or financial loss. I choose to forgive in the sight of Christ, in order that Satan might not outwit me. For I am aware of his schemes.
Father, in the name of Jesus, I subject myself to You and resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from me. I let go of all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language). I am ready to be useful and helpful and kind to others, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving others [readily and freely], as You in Christ forgave me.
I accept life and make a commitment to be patient and tolerant with others, always ready to forgive if I have a difference with anyone. I forgive as freely as You have forgiven me. And, above everything else, I am truly loving, for love binds all the virtues together in perfection.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
