To Go Forth in Peace

Father, I will guard my heart; and Your peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and mind. I choose to think on good things.
Because I love life and desire to see many good days, I keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking lies. I turn from evil and do good; I seek peace and pursue it. In my heart I have planned my course, and I look to You, Lord, to determine my steps.
I keep myself free from the love of money, and I am content with what I have, because You have said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So I say with confidence, “The Lord is my Helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me today and all the days of my life, in the name of Jesus.
Lord, Your peace will act as umpire [continually] in my heart and will settle with finality all my decisions. You will keep me in perfect peace, Father, for my mind is stayed on You.
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
